Chocolate, Please!
This is seriously one of my most favorite chocolate dessert recipes that I make so often. I make this when I am in a time crunch but need something delicious to take to a get together – and I also make it on a random Tuesday evening when I am craving something sweet but don’t want to feel like crap afterward. With basic and wholesome ingredients, this No-Bake chocolate tart recipe is a fail-proof way to ensure a quick and always satisfying dessert that is sure to satisfy that sweet tooth.
With upgraded ingredients like almond flour instead of white flour, maple syrup instead of white sugar, and dark chocolate – this recipe brings a whole new meaning to decadence.
How to Make It
Step 1
In a medium bowl, mix together 1 1/2 cups almond meal, 1/4 cup melted butter or coconut oil, and 1 tablespoon maple syrup until they form a sticky dough.
Scoop the dough into the cake pan and press in an even layer that covers the bottom of the pan. Place in the refrigerator or freezer to set.
Step 2
Place 5 oz. of coarsely chopped chocolate or chocolate chips (I love Enjoy Life brand) in a small saucepan. Add 1/2 cup heavy cream or coconut milk on medium-high until melted. Pour the filling over the prepared crust and spread into an even layer.
Step 3
Press the berries onto the filling in the desired pattern. Place back in the freezer for 1-2 hours. Remove from pan by peeling up parchment paper. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
Note: If you have time to just keep it in the refrigerator after this step I actually like that better than freezing it. Just allow the finished tart to sit in the fridge for at least four hours to firm up.
